OnePlus 9, expected to launch on 23 March 2021 is perhaps one of the most anticipated smartphones for the year. OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 9 series, the first products from its new partnership with Hasselblad.
If you haven’t heard the name Hasselblad yet, They are a Swedish manufacturer of medium format cameras, photographic equipment, and image scanners based in Gothenburg, Sweden. True to its Scandinavian heritage, Hasselblad cameras are renowned for their iconic ergonomic design, uncompromising image quality, and extremely high performance. Hasselblad is probably most famous for being On the Apollo 11 mission, taken onto the lunar surface. That camera was a silver Hasselblad Data Camera! So Hasselblad is a really famous Camera manufacturer.
This isn’t however, Hasselblads first collaboration with a smartphone manufacturer, In fact They once collaborated with Motorola to introduce a Hasselblad True Zoom Camera for Moto Z Droid. However, from all the hype that’s going on in the OnePlus community, their involvement with the OnePlus 9 series is expected to bring about a great difference in camera quality and performance. We don’t really know to how much extent Hasselblad is involved in the new camera system development, but we can always hope for the best. With just a few more hours away from its official release, everyone is waiting with anticipation on what the new OnePlus 9 Series phones will bring to the smartphone market.
As far as we know, The OnePlus 9 series will have at least three phone types– The OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9 Pro, and an affordable OnePlus 9R. AS far as we know, The Oneplus 9 is going to support video recording of 4K up to 120 Frames per second, which is huge. h OnePlus 9 phones will use a 48 MP Sony IMX789 image sensor for the main camera with Digital Overlap HDR and full-pixel omnidirectional autofocus ultra-wide camera will have a 50MP IMX766 module. It will also have LTPO panels and an AMOLED display. On the OnePlus 9 Pro. The display is expected to be 6.78” and The phone will support 65W wired charging. Both phones should be powered by 4,500 mAh batteries and will include the 65W wired charger in their retail package as confirmed in the OnPlus forums. As for the processor, the OnePlus 9 phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 (This might not be the case for the R version). Also, it’s also expected to be a 5G phone as well.
This is what we know so far about the OnePlus 9 series, As the time slowly ticks to its official release, we will know more about it and see if OnePlus will manage to keep the hype going even after the launch. I for one am looking forward to ckeck this phone out!
